Ingredients for Roast Leg of Pork

Preparation of Roast Leg of Pork

1. Mix all the ingredients with salt and vinegar. Wash the leg and make slashes with a sharp knife, about 2 inches deep and 2 inches apart, all over the surface of the leg. With a spoon put filling in the slashes.

2. Bake in a preheated oven at 400ยบ for 20 to 25 minutes per pound of meat.

3. Sauce: once the leg is cooked remove from the rack to a serving dish. Rinse out the drippings of the pan with 1 cup boiling water, bring to a boil and thicken with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch dissolved in 1/2 cup of cold water. Cook, stirring until thickened. Slice the meat and serve with this sauce.
