1. Preheat oven to 375ยบ.
2. Prepare tomatoes. Cut across the center and empty each tomato; squeeze gently to eliminate seeds and juice. Reserve the shells.
3. In a skillet melt 2 tablespoons butter and add onion, garlic and pepper. Cook until tender.
4. In a bowl mix ham, rice, eggs, cream, salt, pepper and turmeric. Add the cooked onions and mix well. Fill the tomatoes with the mixture. Sprinkle with bread crumbs. Place in a baking sheet. Melt the rest of butter and pour over the tomatoes. Bake for 40-50 minutes o until golden.
